Staff Onboarding
The Onboarding Hub tracks each new staff member's induction progress through customisable checklists. Admins can see at a glance who is fully inducted and who still has outstanding items.
Where to find it: Navigate to Staff → Onboarding in the sidebar.
Onboarding Templates
Templates define the steps every new staff member must complete during induction. Create templates for different role types (e.g. "Support Worker Induction", "Coordinator Induction").

From the Onboarding Hub, click "Manage Templates" in the top-right corner.

Click "+ New Template". Give it a name (e.g. "Support Worker Induction 2025") and add the required onboarding steps.

For each step, specify:

| Requires Document Upload | Tick if the staff member must upload evidence (e.g. certificate, signed form) |

Click "Save Template".
Assigning Onboarding to a Staff Member

From the Onboarding Hub, click "+ New Onboarding".

Select the staff member and the onboarding template to use. Click "Start Onboarding".

The staff member receives an email or notification prompting them to complete their onboarding steps through their Plannor login.
Tracking Onboarding Progress
The Onboarding Hub shows a card for each staff member currently in onboarding. Each card displays:
- Staff name, photo, and position
- Progress bar (% of steps completed)
- Number of steps Pending Review (submitted by staff, waiting for admin to verify)
- Number of steps Rejected (admin sent back for correction)
Reviewing Submitted Steps

Click a staff member's card to open their onboarding detail.

For each submitted step, you can see the uploaded document (if required) and any notes from the staff member.

Click "Verify" to approve the step, or "Reject" with a note explaining what needs to be resubmitted.
Step Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not Started | Staff member hasn't actioned this step yet |
| Submitted | Staff member has submitted — waiting for admin to verify |
| Verified | Admin has verified; step is complete |
| Rejected | Admin rejected; staff member needs to resubmit |
Block shift assignment until onboarding is 100% complete by enabling Settings → Staff → Require Complete Onboarding Before Rostering.
