Leave Requests
Plannor handles the full leave management workflow — from staff submitting requests to admin approval and automatic adjustment of leave balances.
Submitting a Leave Request (Staff)

In your account, click Leave in the sidebar, then click "+ Request Leave".

Fill in the request:

| End Date | Last day of leave (inclusive) |
| Partial Day? | Check this to specify start/end times if taking less than a full day |
| Reason | Brief reason (required for sick leave, optional for annual leave) |
| Supporting Documents | Upload a medical certificate if required by your organisation's policy |

Click "Submit Request". Your admin receives a notification and the request shows as Pending.
Approving or Declining Leave (Admin)

Go to Staff → Leave Requests. Pending requests appear at the top.

Click the request to review details. Check the rostering calendar link to see if any shifts conflict with the requested dates.

Click "Approve" or "Decline". For declines, enter a reason — it is sent to the staff member automatically.
Approved leave automatically blocks that staff member from new shift assignments during the leave period. Existing shifts in that period are flagged for re-assignment.
Leave Balances
Leave balances are tracked per staff member under their profile → Leave tab:
- Annual Leave — Accrues based on hours worked (for permanent staff)
- Sick/Personal Leave — 10 days per year for full/part-time under the NES
- Long Service Leave — Tracked from start date per state legislation
Casual employees do not accrue leave balances. Their leave tab shows requests only (for unpaid leave approvals).
Leave Calendar
View all approved leave across your organisation on the Staff → Leave Calendar view. This helps you spot understaffing risks before finalising the roster for each week.
